My name is John Young and I got interested in photography nearly 30 years ago way back when I was 16 using a 35mm film camera that my brother gave me. After this I was hooked and would photograph anything and everything and that was the start of my love affair with photography. When photographing weddings I work closely with my wife Katie and we have been very honoured and privileged to be part of many beautiful weddings over the years and it amazes me how varied and different one wedding is from another. But the happiness, love and funny heart warming moments are always there and that is what we want to capture so you can look at them and relive them again and again. I am 49 and married to Katie, who is a nurse in a local hospital when she is not working with me and I have two children Bethany and William. We live in the small village of Waterhouses close to Durham. In my free time I enjoy cycling, movies and having fun with my family on one of our many family days out to castles, beaches and anywhere else we may wander.
